Urea based Chemical Fertilizer is the most common and widely used across the country. However this it provides only 3% -3.5% Nitrate to the soil and most of the gas is wastage through seepage. Likewise loss of Phosphate Fertilizer though is minimal but it gets settled in the soil and provides about 1.5% to 2.0% benefits to the crop. This is the reason that Agri-Scientists are emphasizing upon lesser and lesser use of Chemical Fertilizer while encouraging use of more and more Organic Fertilizer which provide all the essential elements much needed to conserve the soil and in the process greatly enhance the farm outputs.
